With gas station attendant dead, answers more important than ever


On the evening of December 15th the governor of the state of Guerrero, Angel Aguirre Rivero, confirmed the death of a worker in the gas station set alight during the confrontation between demonstrating students and security forces on December 12th, in which two students died.

The employee sustained serious burns as he attempted to put out the fire. In an interview, Governor Aguirre Rivero said that the investigation into the conflict will include an attempt to determine who started the fire.

Students, have continued to demonstrate in Chilpancingo, the state capital, in an attempt to understand why they were confronted with such violence.
