Violence continues in Cuernavaca

Early on Tuesday, December 20th, three gagged bodies were been found inside a Ford Explorer only a few meters from the Red Cross in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico.

The bodies were found in the Jardines neighbourhood, a half a kilometer from a federal police station. Two of the bodies were in the front seat of the truck, with the third in the back.

Forensic personnel from the Servicio Médico Forense (Semefo) said that there was a message from a “criminal organization” left inside the vehicle.

Cuernavaca has seen a number of violent acts of late. In the last five days 21 people have been executed. Some of the crimes have been particularly gruesome. Four of the individuals had their bodies dismembered, among them a woman and a child under 16.

The area was cordoned off by agents of the Attorney General for the State of Morelos. The vehicle was transferred to the agency’s facilities for further investigation.
