This is what ...Is Ajijic as safe as San Francisco? This is what I have been researching because I live in San Francisco but love going to Mexico. I think that if we are going to generate accurate statistics it needs to be based upon multiple years and not just one year. An article based upon 11 years on Canadian tourists that I found show that the Assault/Murder rate in Mexico is 2.8/100,000 and murder rate represents only 1/10th of this at .27/100,000. I looks to me that most of the violence is drug related and occurs in the border towns. Certainly when I walk the streets of San Francisco I am careful and aware just as I was in Ajijic. I just took my first trip to Ajijic a couple of weeks ago and am already planning on going back. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/reality-check-how-dangerous-is-mexico-for-canadian-tourists-1.1136003Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00428998082504391171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4942584245225051680.post-50130553038511816182014-12-22T14:02:52.077-08:002014-12-22T14:02:52.077-08:00 I spent 7 wonderful wnters n Ajjic. S. has a rate barely above zero--middle-aged to elderly, reasonably affluent and mainly white. courierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15511071954954698349noreply@blogger.com
